Introspective

Introspective

Three-dimensional | Sculpture | Papier-mache

Seeing yourself honestly takes courage. This work captures the moment you dare to look, to feel, and to acknowledge what lives within. The hands, holding small mirrors, invite self-reflection: what you see is not only the outer self, but also the inner one. The face, divided into deep blue and white and richly painted, reveals the duality present in every person — light and shadow, strength and vulnerability, thought and emotion.

Finished with silver leaf, the piece carries a soft reflective glow that enhances its introspective nature. The head and hands are made of solid papier-mâché and paper pulp, giving the sculpture an earthy, human quality. A work about honesty, awareness, and the beauty of looking inward.

HHET – Head, Hands, Emotions, Thoughts. A recurring theme in my work, where head and hands express the inner world.
